ScoreCast24 Rules
ScoreCast24 is a football score prediction game. This World Cup version is being used as a test phase ahead of the English 2026/27 football season.
How to Play
Predict the scoreline for each fixture in the round before the prediction deadline closes.
Once predictions have been submitted, they cannot be changed.
You should only submit one set of predictions per round. Duplicate or suspicious entries may be removed.
Scoring System
Correct exact scoreline: 5 points
Correctly predicted draw: 3 points
Correctly predicted away win: 2 points
Correctly predicted home win: 1 point
Incorrect result: 0 points
Example
If you predict 2-3 and the actual score is 1-2, you score 2 points because you correctly predicted an away win.
If the actual score is exactly 2-3, you score 5 points.
Home and Away Teams
For the World Cup test phase, the first team listed is treated as the home team and the second team listed is treated as the away team.
Prediction Deadline
Predictions must be submitted before the deadline shown on the homepage. Once the deadline has passed, entries will be locked.
Late entries will not be accepted.
Predictions are made for a single round of fixtures, beginning with Round One when every team has played one group-stage match. Once all Round One matches have been completed, scores will be calculated, the leaderboard will be updated, and the round winner will be declared. For Round Two, a new set of fixtures and predictions will be released. Players must submit a fresh set of predictions for the new round. The same process will then repeat throughout the tournament, with each round ending once every team has completed the corresponding group-stage match.Tiebreak Rules
If two or more players finish on the same number of points, the winner will be decided in this order:
1. The player with the most exact scoreline predictions.
2. The player with the most correct results overall.
3. The player who submitted their predictions earliest.
Results and Leaderboard
The leaderboard will update after match results have been added.
During the test phase, results may be added manually, so leaderboard updates may not be instant.
Fair Play
ScoreCast24 is intended to be a fun prediction game. Any attempt to manipulate entries, submit multiple usernames, or exploit bugs may result in removal from the leaderboard.
Test Phase
This version is still in development. Bugs, display issues, scoring errors or rule changes may occur during the World Cup test phase.
